We gather under a timeless truth, a foundation upon which we build all our endeavors: “The LORD reigns forever and ever.” This eternal sovereignty inspires our mission to promote goodness, morality, and the boundless potential of the human spirit.Here at UM.KC, we hold a profound and simple belief: every person is worthy of respect, support, and care simply because they are human. We are a community that strongly promotes spiritual growth, not by endorsing one faith over another, but by championing a culture of radical tolerance and acceptance. We receive people of all beliefs without prejudice, understanding that no one ministry is more important than another. Our sacred task is to share our faiths in ways that benefit all of humanity.We are committed to building a culture free from discrimination—on the basis of gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, language, age, or any other distinction. We stand by our doctrine: to “Do what is right, live fruitful lives, be true to ourselves and the God each of us worships, while causing no harm to others.” We affirm the individual’s right to worship as they see fit. Therefore, we extend this invitation not just to Christians, but to our Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Episcopalian, Baptist, Catholic, Quaker, Methodist, Presbyterian, Wiccan, Pagan, Bahá’í, and all other brothers and sisters—to join us in our shared, yet individual, search for enlightenment.As we stand at the threshold of a new decade, we are guided by our vision for 2026-2036, where cutting-edge technology and timeless spiritual wisdom converge.
